What hw for a media client that also plays amazon netflix etc

New to jellyfin and bought a nice n150 pc to act as a media client. Installed kodi but it won't play amazon etc

I am new to jellyfin and bought n150 mini pc for a media client on my tv. Got kodi set up and and added jellyfin. That works well. But I did not realize that I would not be able to stream netflix etc on it. After looking around a bit it looks like everyone has jumped to android or fire devices.

Now I see $20 onn android devices that appear to fit the bill. Before I move over one of these devices I am curious what I could use on my mini pc instead. Are people just installing windows on them? Seems kinda clunky. But I can't find a way to get kodi to provide these services.

Am I missing something obvious? Or should I just get the onn device?

    Thanks,
    Dennis

Edit - I forgot to mention that I want to add a homerunHD device for over the air support eventually.

If you don't want 4K streaming content, you can switch to Windows and use the apps from the store. You won't get an android box as stable as a n150 on linux or windows.

The onn devices are a good bang for the buck, they still get android updates and are WidevineL1 certified (that's necessary for FHD or 4K on many streaming services), but the bootloader is locked. Without proper licenses, you will have the same problems as with your n150. Other certified boxes will also work, but I would recommend the jellyfin client as player, not Kodi. Kodi on android (and android on TVs in general) is by far not that stable as on linux (only exception: Nvidia Shield, but it's overpriced, the OS and the GPU are outdated and you will no longer get major updates). Some homatics based boxes have an open bootblock, so you can dual boot CoreELEC (for stable jellyfin playback) and Android (for streaming purposes). I don't like jellyfin on FireOS, the integration in AndroidTV is much better (at least with the jellyfin client)

=> there is no perfect one-for-all box for streaming and jellyfin media playback, ALL solutions have their drawbacks, so don't spend too much money or stay with your n150

I bought a onn and am very impressed with it. It looks like there is an app for the homerun hd so that should let me watch over the air as well.
