I recently updated my server to 10.8.13 and I am encountering a playback issue. When I attempt to watch a movie on my laptop via Firefox browser, there will be no audio playing if the file has to transcode. In my case that is nearly everything as most of my stuff in HEVC which Firefox doesn't do.
What I have tried so far:
-Play a media file that does not call for transcoding. The result is normal playback.
-Turned off hardware transcoding (NVENC) and allow the CPU to do it. The result is normal playback.
-Updated to the latest NVIDIA drivers
-Turning NVENC back on results in no audio again
Something to do with NVENC (or maybe FFMpeg?) seems to be causing the issue. I could leave hardware transcoding off for now but my CPU is modest and I'd prefer using the hardware if possible. My Jellyfin server is running on a Windows 10 box. Any help is greatly appreciated!
