SOLVED: Emby direct plays but Jellyfin transcodes?

Hi guys, I am an Emby user but wanted to set my mom up with Jellyfin. I installed it on her server, and noticed it spiked the CPU to 100% and caused pauses while watching movies. I noticed it was transcoding, and not direct playing, and thought it was a hardware issue.

I then installed Jellyfin along side Emby on my server to test, and on the same hardware, same file, Emby direct plays but Jellyfin transcodes and even sends my more powerful server to 100% CPU usage. The server doesn't have a GPU, just CPU, and it's an i7-3700K. Emby direct plays perfectly with it, no setup or anything required, it just works.

Try changing the video player within the Jellyfin Android app to Integrated Player.

Profile > Client Settings > Video player type

That fixed it, thanks! Any reason this isn't the default? My mom isn't too tech savvy and wont remember to select that on any new device she gets. Would be nice if that was the default setting.
