Hello I'm new to jellyfin and would need some advice.
Actually here is my setup for my homelab :
Motherboard: H12DSI-NT6
CPU : 2 * AMD EPYC 7c13
Ram : 16 * 64 DDR4 Ecc 2666mhz
GPU : intel b580
I have a 20 TB storage, I plan to share my movies and tv show with my family (and distant cousins) that brought the total user to an average of 15 people.
I plan to buy 2-3 :
Seagate Exos ST28000NM000C 28TB 7.2K RPM SATA 6Gb/s 512e CMR 3.5
I can use some of the ram for arc cashing with zfs, the os is proxmox installed on a sd card and the jellyfin like other container and VM are on a SSD.
The network will not be an issue, the transcoding also won't be an issue as almost all of the movie will be direct play.
My main concern is the HDD performance.
Specifically, I'm worried about the read speed. Will these HDDs be able to handle 15 users streaming different files at the same time, or will the drives themselves become a bottleneck?
Do you have any recommendations?
