Best TV box for Jellyfin

I'm looking to replace my Chromecast on my living room TV. Specifically, I'm looking at the Google TV, the new Chromecast that has a UI and a remote. I don't particularly love Roku, but if it works better for this case, I'm open to it.

I'm specifically looking for compatibility with more formats. I would rather avoid transcoding if possible

Has anyone used this setup? What has been your ne favorite setup?

Its definitely on the expensive side, but Nvidia Shield is very capable and has pretty broad codec and subtitle support.
