The book library shows the Author folder which I can click into, and see the folder for the book. Then when I select that I get nothing but an empty folder view. Did I set something up wrong?

I've attached images below for reference.

What format are the books in? Does Jellyfin have permissions to read the files?

They are epub files and jellyfin does have permission to the files/folders.

Can you share your logs with us via sourcebin or pastebin?

Yes here is a link to the pastebin: https://pastebin.com/cS4rpYV2

I was modifying my folder structure a few times to see what I could do. I do see no mention of the epubs in the logs which is interesting.

What are some book file name examples? Having trouble finding anything related to books in the log. Also, you have a lot of ffmpeg failures. What's going on with that?

So after digging more into permissions as you previously mentioned I decided to go a little crazy and made a new user and got their new ids for users and groups. Moved everything to a new folder share and reapplied permissions. That seems to have fixed everything. (Which is odd because the previous user was shown as having permission)
