Hey. I had a lot of buffering in Jellyfin (Direct Play) with large files (4K at around 50GB+) on my TV. Which is reasonable I understand. Since I didn't have an Ethernet cable connected from my PC to my TV.
My setup is Windows 10, Jellyfin installed on my system drive (SSD) and my movies/shows on HDD.
I've recently bought a network switch so that I can have my PC connected to the switch and also my TV connected to the switch.
It basically fixed almost all of the buffering, especially the seeking (10 seconds back / forward is now pretty quick). But it still buffers at times, randomly / not randomly (every other minute). Especially with these big files, 40-50GB+ stuff. Almost never with stuff below 40-50GB
I don't know what to do anymore really.. any help would be appreciated!
Jellyfin version 10.9.9. But I just updated to 10.9.10 though, haven't tested the new version yet, however.
My gear is;
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor
RAM: DDR4 32GB
Motherboard: B550M DS3H
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT
