I'm replacing all of my 4k shows with x265 1080 to save space,  but have a few questions.

1 -  Is there a way to replace them without changing the watched status?

2 - Is there a way to replace them without the replacements filling up the "Recently added to TV" section?

    Thanks for your help.

If you replace the original file with the new one, the watched status shouldn't change. But for "recently added", I'm not sure there is a way to avoid that.

Thanks for your help, looks like I'd first changed some that I must have watched before I installed Jellyfin and they showed up in the recently added, but I just tested something I recently watched and the Watched status the same and was not added to  Recently added to TV.

    Thanks for your time Dread.

Did you rescan after replacing the file? Maybe I'm mis-remembering, but I thought it "refreshed" the new-ness of the episode/movie for the purposes of "recently added" when replacing files.
