When I started my journey hosting a media server I knew that I wanted to use a M1 mac mini for the performance. I found the resources online limited, so to help others I wrote a detailed guide on how I host Jellyfin on macOS. The setup includes robust restart handling and a monitoring dashboard.

I keep the guide continuously updated on Github.

Hope it helps someone! Let me know if there are questions.

Hello. I believe I have much to learn! Thankful to have found your guide. I think I am already stuck near the beginning.

I am at the Reverse Proxy steps. This may sound silly, but I cannot seem to understand step 2x "Install xcaddy go install github.com/caddyserver/xcaddy/cmd/xcaddy@latest."

At first I thought I would be entering that in Terminal. But realized I should be downloading this from that site? But apparently I am just not understanding.

    Apologies for a newbie question.
