Hello, I’m using jellyfin on truenas scale (all up to date). I just couldn’t stand to have a active internet connexion for plex so I’ve decided to switch.
My current problem is that I live in a country where a lot of american services are blocked…and so themoviedb is blocked… I have of course a vpn (wireguard) and proxy (squid) on a server in my home country (France) where themoviedb isn’t blocked. I’ve tried to add my proxy ip:port in different fields of jellyfin settings where "proxy" was written but so far couldn’t had any positive results (I’m not saying it’s because of jellyfin, may very well be my fault😅).
I can receive most of images from fanart and tvdb (which isn’t blocked). I don’t have and don’t want a reverse proxy, I would prefer using my vpn or proxy…but if that’s the solution well ok…
If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate. Thanks

You can change your metadata provider to use tvdb instead of tmdb since you can access that. Just need to install the server plugin and change the order of metadata providers within your libraries.

Thanks for your tip, it’s what I was doing. At first I thought that it’s only for tv shows… but then I understood that there are movies too !!! So I’m ok for now 😊 I’m just always disapointed when I realize how not free the web is 😅
