    Hi together,

quite new to the topic of NAS and also Jellyfin.
But in general it works in the way I had it setup which is the following:

    QNAP TS-673A
    16GB RAM
    nVidia RTX A400
Supported codecs are listed here: https://developer.nvidia.com/video-encod...ort-matrix

Jellyfin (10.11.2) is installed via the App-Centre from this github project: https://github.com/pdulvp/jellyfin-qnap

Typically I use Jellyfin on my LG TV via the app that is available in WebOS.

The specific file is video file made with my camera, which is a MOV file.
And the codec that is used here is HEVC, more specific HEVC with Chroma subsampling  4:2:0 in 10bit.
Here the full video file details:

So my GPU should be able to transcode it, right?
I already removed the audio track from the file (which is the same file in a MKV container) to see if this resolves the issue, but it doesn't help.
So it must be something with the video.

I played video on my desktop computer and noticed, that it uses the GPU from my desktop instead the one from the NAS.

Please tell me which information you need additional to the ones I already provided.
    And thank you in advance!

    EDIT:
if I play the video on the TV, there is indefinitely long the loading circle.
and in the admin page I see this information:
    Quote:Direct Streaming
The video stream is compatible with the playback device, but has an incompatible audio format (DTS, Dolby TrueHD, etc.) or an incompatible number of audio channels. The video stream is losslessly repackaged on the fly before being sent to the device. Only the audio stream is transcoded.
The power consumed by direct streaming typically depends on the audio profile. Only the video stream is lossless.

This is why I initially thought the issue is audio related.
But the same happens when I  play the mkv file where there is no audio track.
Well, except for the audio part. It just says that there is no transcoding needed and that it is only direct streaming.

    EDIT2:
Maybe the title is not correct. Because it says in the admin page, that the video on the TV is directly played or streamed without transcoding. So it would be normal that the GPU does nothing.  But the screen stays black. Not sure if the loading circle goes away because jellyfin is already playing or it still loading but without showing the loading circle.
