DLNA, online radio and Sonos

Help find a solution to my issue.
Jellyfin is installed on a Synology NAS. It allows me to send music in MP3 format to Sonos speakers via DLNA, but it doesn't send radio stations added through the suggested plugin. The added radio station works fine through the Jellyfin app on my phone and computer, but I can't send it via DLNA to Sonos.

AFAIK, Jellyfin does not support that via DLNA.

And what "suggested plugin" are you talking about?

Thank you for your response. Sorry for the inaccurate wording of my question. I was referring to the Live TV M3U plugin mentioned on the official Jellyfin website. Perhaps my search was incomplete, but I couldn’t find another plugin for online radio. If you know of one, please let me know.

If I understood you correctly, I can only use Jellyfin to stream my music collection in MP3 format to Sonos. I cannot use Jellyfin to stream online radio. Are there any other ways to use the Joifi app to send online radio URLs to Sonos?

Is there a plugin that allows Jellyfin to automatically transcode radio stations and other media formats into those compatible with DLNA when they are streamed to devices like Sonos speakers?

Not that I'm aware of. There is a server app called miniDLNA that might better suit your needs.

I had a similar question, not sure if it is the same thing.  I would like to cast a Live TV channel that is an Internet radio station.  By "cast" I mean send the Live TV channel to another device by clicking on the cast icon that is between the group icon and the search icon on the top right in the UI.  The device I want to cast appears when I click the cast icon.  Is it possible to cast Live TV to another device, but not Internet radio?

On Ubuntu 24.04, Jellyfin 10.10.0, I can "cast" music from my music library to a sonos, by selecting the sonos device as the output device (using the cast icon to select the device).  But when I play an Internet radio station that is configured as a Live TV channel, and then try to "cast" that to a sonos by clicking on the cast icon and selecting the device, the UI just sort of freezes and it doesn't play.   

I see this error in the jellyfin log:
