It will run, but not very well. And forget about transcoding.

I’m fine without transcoding. I currently have 2x DS216play running via infuse to multiple Apple tv’s which have worked amazing well for years. I’m seeking an alternative to run on my Xbox series X. Can anyone help me get Jellyfin server going without Docker? It appears the DS216play is ARM architecture which docker does not support.

I looked up the specs of your NAS. It has an Intel N3050. Old, but its x86. Does your NAS not support Docker? Unless you have another computer, I think Docker on your NAS is what you have to do.

Also, AFAIK Jellyfin no longer has an Xbox app. You would have to use the browser?

Ah. Ok. Without Docker, your only other option for running it on your NAS is if Synology has Jellyfin in their store. If not, they probably determined your device can't run it.

    I have Synology Docker setup.
As I'm currently aware, Docker is the option.
DSM does not have a listing of Jellyfin in their "Package Center.
    https://www.synology.com/en-global/dsm/p...h=jellyfin
(As they do for Emby & Plex in their 3rd party section.)

BUT, you can manual install packages.
I found on google, a 3rd party guide on using this method.
    https://nascompares.com/2023/02/27/how-t...-easy-way/

However the Docker setup seems to be the more popular
method, which I see various guides/tutorials about.

    And I just found,
