Dolby Vision on Mini PC with Jellyfin

Hi everyone,

Is it possible to get Dolby Vision with any Windows PC and JellyFin Media Player?

For Mini PC? like Beelink SER9? Geekom Mini IT12? Minisforum UM760? .... and others?

Are there any specific features to have to be able to get Dolby Vision on Windows with Jellyfin?

Jellyfin Media Player cannot render HDR video. Yes, it uses MPV under the hood. But due to how the rendering pipeline works it cannot display HDR. You would need to use Jellyfin MPV Shim and swap out the verison of MPV it comes with with a newer version.

And the client PC will need a GPU that can decode HEVC 10-bit.
