I have performed a sever upgrade to Jellyfin Server 10.11.3 on a test machine. Jellyfin Server runs in a Docker container, and the database on this test machine is significantly smaller than the one on the production server.
The upgrade went smoothly, and I have noticed a significant reduction in RAM usage.
Should I attribute this reduction in RAM usage to the new server version or to the smaller database on the test machine?
    Thanks.

With the new Jellyfin 10.11.3 release, I've also noticed a significant reduction in RAM usage. Great work, Team.

The drop in RAM usage is most likely a combination of both factors. Jellyfin 10.11.x includes several performance improvements, especially around memory handling and database queries, so the newer version does tend to run more efficiently.

However, the size of the database also plays a noticeable role. A smaller library requires fewer cached objects, lighter metadata loading, and less memory allocation for indexing. On a production server with a much larger library, you’ll probably still see improvements after upgrading—but the RAM usage will naturally be higher compared to the test machine.

The best way to compare is to monitor memory consumption on the production system after its upgrade, ideally under similar load conditions. You should see a reduction, but it won’t be as dramatic as on the smaller test database. https://thedunebashingdubai.com/
