Good morning,
So im new to the media server scene but seem to be picking it up quick. I have a proxmox vm running 5 core 10 gig ram 32 G storage with nfs to syno nas. I did passthrough my video card but its a crappy onboard intel so its not doing much for transcoding. my client is a roku soundbar.
So this issue is DTS audio. Roku doesnt support it but it does start to play. Jellyfin say the audio is the only piece being transcoded to lossless. It plays fine for about 30 seconds then just stops and goes back to the movie menu. ffpeg logs indicate that the transcoding works but then just stops with log output [q] command received. Exiting. it is transcoding Stream #0:2 -> #0:1 (dts (dca) -> aac (libfdk_aac)). Anyone know the issue or have similar experience? Can I change the encoding or am I just out of luck b/c of roku. Oh forgot to mention the transcoding happens locally on the 32G partition. I am not sure if HD size is the issue but just through i throw it in.
