Duplication of Movie Collections

Some of my movie collections are getting duplicated, and show up twice in the collections tab. Attached are the screenshots to help understand the issue. Please help.

Are you by chance using the "Merge Versions" plugin?

I'm using the TMDb box set plugin. And also, it's not every collection which is getting duplicated. Out of the 50+ collections i have it's just 3 which is having this issue

TMDb box set and Merge Versions are known to glich that way sometimes i have the same issue.

I honestly think there may be some serious issues with the way collections are handled in the server code. Not sure if anyone has taken the time to look into it though.

I gave up on collections because that got annoying, mostly because the only fix I could find was delete all the Collection Metadata (folders), turn off Jellyfin's built in collections, and then force the TMDB Box Set plugin scan through the admin panel. But after a while it will happen again when a new collection of unrelated movies gets added. Maybe one day my wife will let me do some developing again instead of me just finding workarounds lol.

Check under your Movie library settings & make sure that "Automatically Add To Collection" is unchecked if you are using the TMdB box sets plugin. Using the plugin & having that option selected will produce duplicate collections.

Same issue but I have that turned off, not using merge versions with the box set plugin enabled. I assume it's a plugin issue?

Uncheck "Automatically Add to Collection (When at least 2 movies have the same collection name, they will be automatically added to the collection.)" under your Movie library settings & rescan the library if you are using the TMdB plugin. This is what caused the duplications.
