DVD Player with jellyfin client

I have some aged relatives who like using their DVD library. Their TV is dumb so I felt a smart blu-ray player would open more options without taking additional space.
However, I'd like to introduce them to jellyfin, so a player that has access to a jellyfin client would be my preference.
Suggestions to rip the DVD library have been offered, but that requires different equipment and doesn't follow a clear "pop in the disk and it plays" simplicity that they like.
Currently, my top runner may be a small PC with blu-ray player installed and Kodi - pretending to be a DVD player, but that'd tie me to doing maintenance and updates for years :-) so I'm interested in a commerical solution with an app store that's compatible with Jellyfin.

The only thing that comes to mind is the Xbox. I can’t think of any other commercial devices besides that.

would that be installing kodi on the xbox and then the jellyfin plugin to interface with the library? I don't see much information about a native xbox client.

It utilizes the Jellyfin UWP Client, which is a wrapper for Jellyfin's web interface designed for UWP devices like Windows 10 and Xbox One. I don’t have an Xbox myself, so I can’t provide more details, but I’ve read that it can be used as a Jellyfin client.
