Episode added to Jellyfin is immediately marked "watched".

I've been having a strange problem for the last week or so (same time-frame as the missing music Playlists), which is that often when a TV episode is added to the Jellyfin it immediately get marked "played".  This does not happen for movies and I can't find a pattern of what triggers it.

I've made sure I don't have another instance of Jellyfin running somewhere - I don't. I also don't have any other users.

I did very briefly notice this earlier when I added a new season of a show, but when I rechecked again now it wasn't marked as watched; not entirely sure if I'm misremembering or it cleared itself, but seeing this thread made me think about it again.

Can you share logs from when this happens?

thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I re-installed Jellyfin as it was driving me crazy, so I don't have the logs. So far, this behavior has not recurred.
