External Player

Hi, 

I can't play anything on an external player. It happens on my Dune HD Homatics Box R 4K Plus, I have tried to play using Dune HD Media Center, I have tried to do it in VLC and I can't either, I don't know what is the reason. In the Jellyfin player everything works perfectly.

What does "can't play anything" mean? How are you using these players with Jellyfin? Are you setting them as external players from within the Jellyfin app? Or are you trying to use DLNA with these apps?

Yes, I tick the box to use an external player, and Jellyfin opens the player, but nothing plays
I have used 2-3 external players to discard that it is the player, it happens with all of them (Dune HD Media Center, VLC)

No se el motivo pero cuando se necesita transcodificación, no se puede utilizar un reproductor externo. Al menos eso me ocurre a mi desde siempre utilizando la aplicación para Android TV. Tambien ocurre que si usas un reproductor externo y tienes varias "calidades" o "versiones" de una misma película que están todas agrupadas, Elijas la que elijas, siempre se reproduce la primera, sin embargo, con el reproductor interno si se puede elegir correctamente la versión.

Also, any particular reason for using external players when, as you say, Jellyfin's integrated player works perfectly?
