    Server version: 10.10.6
    Web version: 10.10.6 (c335a3024)
    Build version: 10.10.6

    Media Server:
    Windows installer
    Windows 10 Home 64bit
    CPU: Intel i7-7700
    Ram: 16GB
    GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070
    Transcode path: 500 GB SSD
    Speed: 916MbpsU/854MbpsD
    Hardware acceleration: NVIDIA NVENC

    Client:
    Nvidia Shield

    Issue:
I am hosting a jellyfin server for a relative to access media. Whenever they play something that is not stereo encoded(i.e. 5.1 etc) they will get video stuttering or pausing when the audio needs to be transcoded. The video is fine as its only Audio that needs transcoding.  I am not sure what would be causing this as the computer does not seem to be struggling when transcoding(i.e Cpu. memory, and graphics are all within ideal thresholds).

I have attached the transcoding logs.

Can you share the main jellyfin log via privatebin.net? And provide a movie/show that your remote user had issues with?

Also, are you using a reverse proxy? Or cloudflare as a proxy?

I am unsure how to share the "main jellyfin log". What I shared was the transcode log for a video they demonstrated having issues with. I simply removed the name of the media for you know "reasons". Where can I find the main jellyfin log in order to provide more info/context? I appreciate the help.

Its in the same directory as the ffmpeg log.

    log_20250221.log

Post it to privatebin.net and share the link.

Sorry for the late response. I had to wait till the individual could troubleshoot with me to collect the data. I have obfuscated their ip but everything else is there unedited.

I am using cloudflare as a reverse proxy.

Using cloudflare to proxy Jellyfin is against their TOS. Their free tier proxy service is for static text/image content. They have a PAID tier for proxying streaming content.

It can also cause a lot of weird playback issues, especially when transcoding is involved.

Disable the cloudflare proxy (switch to DNS only) and check if the problem persists.
