I have an extensive audiobook collection and would love to be able to use Finamp to play them, but the option to select Books in Finamp's settings is greyed-out.
Is there a way to play audiobooks through Finamp?

No. Finamp does not support audio books and I'm not aware if the devs intend to implement that.
The official app supports audio books fairly well, IMO. You can also check out JellyBook. https://github.com/JellyBookOrg/JellyBook

I was unable to locate JellyBook on the iOS store. The official app has an issue where an audio book keeps playing but the volume drops to 0% if the app is put in the background or the screen is locked. I only use my Jellyfin server for audiobooks, so this is an issue. Currently, a workaround I've been using for my phone is to use the "Copy Stream URL" in the official app, then bring that url into VLC and play from there. There is no issue with background play with VLC. |
