For one TV show there are no thumbnails

For all my TV Shows there are episode thumbnails taking from the episode itself. I would describe it as a "screenshot" from a second of the episode. And that's how I want it to be. I checked the "use image form the episode as thumbnail" in the settings.

But for one single TV show that doesn't work. All episodes of that TV show just use the poster of the season for the episodes inside that season.

I cannot find any other setting relating to that topic. Do I miss something?

Check your logs. It may have failed to extract images. This can happen if there is something off with the way the video was encoded.

When I open the logs via "docker logs -f jellyfin" and start to rescan the library there is nothing shown in the logs. And when I search older logs for the name of the TV Show I cannot find anything regarding my described issue.

1) Double check that jellyfin has sufficient permissions to the library. Read and execute on the folder, read on the files.
2) You can rescan just the show. Do a "replace all metadata, replace all images" type scan.

You are my hero. Point 2) did it. Before that I always picked "scan for new files and update files" but now I picked "all metadata" and checked the box for "replace all images". And after a few seconds all thumbnails were correct. Thank you!

Unfortunately it was not a solution forever. After a while (few hours) the TV Show is broken again. I guess the scheduled scan destroys the thumbnails.

How can I fix that?

Redo the process and once it is done "edit metadata" and there is a check box further down that lets you lock the metadata for the show.
