    Forced transcoding

Can I set Jellyfin to force transcoding if needed?

I have jellyfin set up on a mini pc and it generally works great.  I just ran into an odd problem with a very old tv show that's in 480p, h264 mpeg and AVC1 according to VLC's info.
I have two TV's one, a Google tv,  the files play fine but on a roku tv I get audio with no video output unless I check "force transcoding" in the client's list of Options.   Then it works fine on that tv too.   Is there any way to set Jellyfin to force transcoding or is this just a codec problem with the roku tv?
Both Plex and Nova player play the same videos fine on the Roku. Nova player uses a connected chromecast device.

Many times older shows in 480p were encoded using 10-bit high profile, which is incompatible with nearly every device ever made. If this is the case, it's definitely an issue with the Roku TV.

I assumed that at first but can't figure out why both Plex and Nova player (installed on a chromecast) both play them fine?  So is there any way to make Jellyfin transcode them automatically?   I'm trying to move away from using Plex but right now have that and Jellyfin installed on the media server.
