I've installed Jellyfin, but it doesn't start with Windows despite Autostart being ticked

I always have to start it manually.

Every time I start Jellyfin Tray App manually I get the prompt asking me if I want to allow it to make changes to my computer.  This despite both the Tray app and Jellyfin.exe having "Run as administrator" ticked in compatibility settings.

I tried to set it to run on start up using the task scheduler with highest privileges, but it didn't work at all.  There was no app visible in the tray, and when I started it manually it couldn't connect to the library (which was on the same machine).  I had to kill the Jellyfin task in task manager then start it up again to get it working.

I want to be able to

    1) Have Jellyfin start automatically
    2) Have it start without me having to click the Admin prompt, ideally without me disabling user account control for everything

First, remove the run as administrator setting from both programs; that is not necessary.

Then check to see if the Jellyfin tray app is enabled as a startup item from your task manager.

    Done

There are two instances of it showing in my Task Manager.

    One in
    C:\Program Files\Jellyfin\Server\jellyfin-windows-tray

    One in
    C:\Program Files\Jellyfin\Server

    Both seem to be enabled.

You should only have the system tray app running from C:\Program Files\Jellyfin\Server\jellyfin-windows-tray.

Try disabling the other system tray app and jellyfin.exe.

Also, try reinstalling with the latest installer (.exe) from: https://repo.jellyfin.org/files/server/w...ble/amd64/ if the above action doesn't work.
