I have JellyFIn set up on an UnRaid Server.  On that server I have my TV Shows.  I also have a Synology Server with ally my Movies.  In the initial set up Jellyfin residing on my UnRaid sever indexed all my TV Shows and Movies.  But after a couple days, I could not see the Movies in the JellyFin browser.  When I went in the settings it no longer had the path to my movies on the synology.  When I try to re add it I get path not found.

It worked great for a week, now not so much.   It does still see my TV Shows.

Any ideas? I would be happy to give more info if needed.

    Thanks

I'm not familiar with UnRaid. I'm assuming you had to mount your NAS share in UnRaid so Jellyfin had access to it. Make sure the permissions didn't change and that it is still mounted in UnRaid.

Should I be able to hit the magnify glass at the right of the Folder window and search?  It does nothing when I click on it.

if you type something in first then click the magnify icon it will try to search

it does not open a 'search dialog' if that's what you're expecting

what exactly is wrong with just typing in /path/to/media? do you not already know what path you configured?

note: even typing something first this does not work for me

/Movies/Media/Movies is my file path to my Synology, but when I try to add it, it tells me the path could not be found.

I appreciate your attempt to help me. I am quite lost myself. On my initial setup all was working well as expected. Then my movie directory disappeared.

is an account / user set up on the Synology for the Jellyfin Server? as in, the JF Server needs login credentials on the Synology for it (or anyone really) to access any given share. access to shares themselves would need to be specifically granted to any user that needs access to it.

with docker the mount has to be preset when you start your container. so stop it, mount the synology share, start your container.
