How can I NOT display a TV Show's seasons?

Is there a way to display a TV Show's episodes, but not by season?

I have a DVD set of Gunsmoke that is a kind of "best of" -- a few dozen episodes spread out over the twenty seasons the show was on the air.

Rather than have to go hunting through twenty different seasons with one or two episodes in each season, is there a way to make Jellyfin just display a list of the episodes without the extra "layer" of season organization?

You could create a best of Collection.

I could never get Collections to work properly for me -- but is this another way of you saying, my original request isn't possible at this time?

Could i save all the metadata to the folders and the just redo it by hand somehow to get what i want?

I think your options are playlists, collections, or custom metadata.

So, if I do an intial metadata download, then set the show to not scrape any new metadata, I could completely manipulate how the show is presented by editing the local .nfo files for the show, right?

I'm curious, what is the exact name of this dvd set?

Are you a fellow Gunsmoke fan?! It's actually two sets...
    1. Gunsmoke, The Directors Collection (Amazon, review with episode list)
    2. Gunsmoke, 50th Anniversary Volumes 1 & 2 (Amazon, review with episode list)

You can usually find both of these floating around on eBay & Thriftbooks for a good price, too

You can also try using a custom folder name and place all the episodes inside. Jellyfin will create a custom season with the episodes, but it will also organizing them into separate season folders. However, be cautious not to delete episodes from the extra seasons, as doing so will remove them from the hard drive.

Gunsmoke (1955) - The Directors Collection
    Best of Collection
      S01E01.mkv
      S02E02.mkv
      S03E15.mkv

Very useful and easy -- thanks!
