    Hello all,

I have been a long time user of Jellyfin and love it.

I have an Archlinux jellyfin server - however, I have now moved it behind the TV and installed a desktop and Jellyfin local player to used the power of the computer to watch 4k video directly rather than through the network or via the TV app - so computer is connected to the TV directly via HDMI.

The client is connected via 127.0.0.1 to the server but 4k videos are shuttering. If I use VLC those videos are playing absolutely fine.

Any advice on how to make the client read the file comfortably?

Could you provide Jellyfin logs as well as any ffmpeg logs that are generated? Upload them to something like privatebin.net.

When you say Jellyfin local player are you talking about Jellyfin Media Player?

Hello and thank you for your reply,

Yes i meant Jellyfin Media Player

that's jellyfin log for the 4k movie https://pastebin.com/kGZhf4sd
in /var/logg/jellyfin there is no FFmpeg for today when I tested the files.

I am not sure where I would find any other logs?

    Thank you for your help

There are reports of stuttering on JMP v1.12 with certain content: https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-med...issues/875

One workaround has been to use the prior version v1.11.1: https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-med...ag/v1.11.1
