I just copied the playlist xml from where it was saved (you can check the medatada for location) into my library folder and now I can see the playlist in Android auto. I am also using rsync to keep the playlist updated

    P.S
This will have the effect that you will see your playlists 2 times under playlists in the regular app
This is consistent with my experience as well. Playlists that were discovered in a library (e.g. .m3u files on disk) show up under that particular library in AA, but playlists created in the Jellyfin web UI do not show up. I believe the AA interface essentially lets you browse the contents of music libraries directly and so it's looking too deep in the hierarchy and misses the top-level playlists, which is a shame because that means it's not easily possible to create music playlists whose contents span multiple libraries and play them through AA.

For anyone else having still having this issue, just use the finamp beta as previously mentioned. For me the apk on their github releases worked, the play store didn't for whatever reason Confused-face
You can disable the normal android jellyfin client from showing up in android auto if you use both, so you use the right one.
