How to remotely access JF on VPN network?

My setup is: JF server on Windows 10 PC. VPN on my router AKA the whole network. I want to access my PC/server remotely on my Android phone via the JF app but unsure how to make this work since my VPN is network-wide at home. It works fine on local network when everything is connected to the router, obviously. So, using the Android JF app, how can I connect to my home JF server since it's behind a VPN? Even when first connecting to the same VPN server on my phone via my VPN provider's phone app (when not home/on cellular), it still doesn't allow it to connect either.

I do not believe this is *feasible* without extra features supported by your VPN provider. I know that some allow for dedicated IP and port forwarding, but setting up a reverse proxy for something you have little to no control over -- and which likely thousands of others are using at the same time -- is a fool's errand.

You be better off split tunneling, which is its own nightmare. I would not recommend going that route unless you are familiar with networking and your router fully supports this type of application. You could set up a Wireguard node and use that to connect outside your home, as it would likely bypass the other VPN.

Which VPN are we talking about? OpenVPN? If so, it is definitely possible. Assuming this is OpenVPN, there should be a config to bridge the VPN subnet to your main subnet.

Do you have the option to simply set up plain OpenVPN on your router?  Pretty sure that is on option on most routers.

It is just a couple of boxes to configure OpenVPN to push clients to your main VLAN.  The 4 boxes I checked in my screenshot should be similar to what you have available. Checking them will essentially make a private VPN for your phone and other devices.
