How to show movie rating instead of year on Jellyfin posters

"How can I replace the movie year displayed on the Jellyfin poster wall with the movie rating instead?"

In the poster wall, the first line under a movie is the title, and the second line is the release year. I want to change the second line to show the movie's rating instead. How can I do this? Thanks

Are you asking about the layout on a TV or viewing Jellyfin in a browser? If you mean in a browser there isn't a way to show it as far as I know.

So Jellyfin on a TV will show the movies rating before the year, but it has to be in the metadata for the movie. Are these mostly chinese movies? Jellyfin is really good at pulling the info for English TV and Shows but I imagine the sites it pulls the info from don't have as much for foreign movies.

If you go to a movie in Jellyfin on your server in the browser you should see a rating on the second line, if there isn't one then it's not stored in the metadata for that movie and therefore can't show up on the TV.

To add a rating click the three dots on the right then edit metadata you'll see a place to enter a critics rating or community rating, so the community rating is from one to ten and the critics rating is from 0 to 100. Try putting a rating in and saving the changes it should show up on the TV on the second line before the year, (you have to back out of the movie section and go back in to reload the info).
