I put a show in that wouldn't be available on typical databases, so the metadata generated wasn't exactly usable. However, I then found a collection of handmade metadata already made for this specific situation. I have them all named exactly matching the video files, so I was able to delete the existing metadata files and drag and drop the new ones in. This worked correctly for something like 11/27 seasons, but the episode names, orders, descriptions, etc are completely unchanged. The Season descriptions and titles worked fine for all of them. What specific order of operations should I take when replacing metadata?

    What is the series?

What format is the metadata in? (what program created it, what norms does it follow, etc)

What aspects are not being scanned correctly?

Do the NFOs formatting of the non-working items match the working items? (ie they look the same, only values within the fields are changed to prepresent the episodes correctly)

Are there any special characters in the non-working episodes that JF doesn't like to see in certain fields? Even simp,e syntax formatting?

Using custom NFO works well but can cause some hiccups you need to work through. Even a random & can throw a lot of things off.
