hello,
been using jellyfin for a long time now
on the server side i am using 14900k pc with 80 tb drives for media (movies and shows) with windows 11 pro
on the client side i am using the new sony bravia a95k which is a google tv.
i prefer jellyfin on plex because of the external player option which doesnt exist in plex (which uses exo-player).
untill media server version 10.9 everything was working quite well. after media server version came out, everything started going down the hill.
since version 10.9 came out, been having troubles with adding the media files.
for some reasons the scanning process is using a lot of ffmpeg tools processes till they fill the ram (you can actually see the ram climbing to 100%), which then makes the computer crash, leaving me no other option but to reset , starting again with the same number of files as before the scanner started.
when i install media server 10.8.11 everything goes fine. the scanner does not crowd the ram with ffmpeg tools processes, and the scanning processes finishes without problems quite fast.
the problem is that the google tv client found on the google store is version 17 and above which doesn't support media server 10.8.11.
so now i cant watch media on the computer using my tv.
been trying to enter the older google tv client on the site, but the tv says it cant open the apk files.
does anyone has any suggestions?
thanks in advance
