jellyfin media player stuck

about 75% of the time when I open jellyfin media player on windows and play something the whole app just stops doing anything, it doesn't stop responding but the media never plays and the interface just kinda gets stuck, if I then open jellyfin in a browser and connect to the jellyfin media player app as a player to cast to and play something it will play fine without even reopening the app, what is going on here and is there a way to fix it?

Server Setup:
Unraid OS
Jellyfin 10.11.0 running in docker (also happens on older versions)
SWAG Reverse Proxy

Client:
Windows 10
Jellyfin Media Player 1.11.1

everything works fine on all other apps i've tried.

Can you share your jellyfin logs via pastebin? And your server specs.

For the record, 10.11 is not the "current" version. It is the unstable development build and I recommend sticking with the stable build as it will frequently break.

Server specs is i5-12600K with 64GB DDR4

here's the full sequence of events that happens:
1. I open jellyfin media player and play something
- the whole jellyfin UI freezes and nothing plays but the app doesn't close
2. I open jellyfin in browser and press the cast button and choose my jellyfin media player
- it now shows at the bottom of the browser that the item I chose to play is playing but at 0 seconds, it never plays.
3. I press stop on the jellyfin browser, then press play again
- now jellyfin media player starts playing the media without closing the app or anything.

it seems to me like this is some kind of UI bug since media is able to play through casting, but idk.

the same exact thing happens on jellyfin 10.10.x

Disable the Kodi Sync plugin, restart jellyfin, try again.

that seems to have helped a lot, it did freeze 1 time after disabling the plugin but it seems to work 90%+ of the time now thanks.

What other plugins do you have installed? Really it shouldn't freeze at all. With or without the plugin. Especially since it is just direct playing.

after some more tries it is now happening again frequently, so maybe restarting the jellyfin server helped temporarily for some reason? here's new logs if it helps at all https://pastebin.com/kw7CYgWT

edit: restarted the server again to see if it helped and now it's working again, so for whatever reason it seems like the problem gets worse the more times i open the client and play something but is resolved (temporarily) by restarting the server.
