video pause every few minuts

Hi,

This is my first message in this forum so if this is not the right place or I am doing something wrong do please let me know.

I have a Raspberry Pi 5 running Home Assistant OS. I got Jellyfin install as a plugin in HA. My media files are stored in a USB HDD directly connected to the device.

All was working fine until I started to notice that in some video files, the video pause for a few seconds every 2-3 minutes... this is very annoying.

I initally thought it could be the device (PI 5) not having enough CPU/RAM but monitoring the system... plugin for Jellyfin only consume less than 1% CPU and 4-5% RAM

Checking Jellyfin logs I cannot find anything odd...

Can anyone help me with this please?

Is it possible that the client has a weak signal and can't handle the video's bit rate?

I guess is because the file is 29GB and MKV and maybe that is too much... but at the same time, CPU/RAM was not used at all based on metrics...
