Should I be concerned that Jellyfin is using 20 gigs of my 32 gigs of ram? Does it automatically release the ram should an another application need it? As long as it does this, I guess it's not a problem. But if it doesn't releases it to other applications then there's... a problem.

Are you using docker to run Jellyfin?

No sorry. I'm using windows 10, bare metal.

Almost certain that 90% of that usage is cache. If Windows is anything like Linux, when an apps needs memory it will take any of the memory being used as cache first.

This can't actually be it as Windows wouldn't assign the cache to Jellyfin's process. It'll show up as cache in task manager. Can't speak for the OP, but I check mine, at any given time, through Resource Monitor, Task Manager. If you want to track your memory usage, and see what is going on, you could use Windows Performance Monitor and look at the logs. Tom's Hardware has a good guide to easily set that up.
