Hi @Venson, could you guys tell a bit more in detail what the problems are that you are having with the Tizen app?
It feels like we who have interest in this app have to drag out any information out every time. There isnt even a thread for the app in here. And we have been hearing for so long that the app was on its way. For many this is a pretty important thing and It would be very nice if it was acknowledged and given some priority so its not handled like a marginal thing, and instead actively shared with us when something new happens, even small details. Hope it is not too much to ask. Regards

You can follow this issue for updates on the current status:

This is just not really how Jellyfin works. Being an entirely volunteer driven project, things only advance when someone with the desire and ability move things forward. No one gets to dictate priorities here. For the most part these things just come down to time limitations. All contributors and team members also have other responsibilities (family, job, school, etc.) outside of Jellyfin.

i was not talking about "dictate" anything, why are you guys so defensive. I can understand a lot of people keep requesting stuff but that is the nature of the beast isnt it? People show interest and request things and asks for things. Not to dictate but we may have the right to say that its important to us at least?
I find it super strange that the biggest tv platform in europe is handled like a marginal thing that's all, and why we keep hearing its coming and then nothing. And when we request information it seems its secret?! For what reason? Other than that i highly apreciate the work you all put down in this wonderful project. Cheers

fwiw anyone /can/ install this on their Tizen TV, i had it on mine several months ago so i don't know why people need to wait for a "release"
honestly, through no fault of jellyfin or it's contributors i didn't like the way Tizen is and it took me way outside my element that and lack of codec support i went back to my Android device where i felt comfortable and everything worked (not the app, limitations of the platform) of course i /have/ been using android since Gingerbread and android tv ever since it was a thing so that likely contributes to my own comfort zone

Not to dictate but we may have the right to say that its important to us at least? Because we hear the argument of "Why dont you do X? its important to me" a lot. The reality of FOSS projects like jellyfin is that this particular issue does not apply to me, is outside the scope of what i can do and i have other things i would rather like to do. It may sound "secretive" because i am not involved in the project/issue/code and i only give information i heard myself in bits and pieces but i dont want to say anything "wrong" and give out false information.
