So basically, my problem is that, sometimes jellyfin would just get strangely stutter-like (I thought the cause was tone mapping but apparently not) where the image just glitches weirdly. The sound remains perfectly fine, its just the image.

    AFAICT, everything looks fine.

What are your server specs? And what client are you trying to watch on? Does this only happen with this video? Every video that needs tone mapping?

I thought it was just tone mapped videos, but apparently not, it can happen with any of them. The best was I can describe this is that the video is like one of those old tape reels that kinda shakes back and forth a bit with the image.

My specs are a Ryzen 7 5600x, a RX 6700xt, 32 GB of DDR4 3200 Memory, and some of my videos files are stored on a SSD while the rest are on a HDD. And it only happens sometimes, not always.

It looks like you are direct playing most of the time? And I see you've used both the official Android app and Findroid. Does this issue happen on Findroid? Which should be direct playing pretty much all the time? On the official app, are you using the web player or integrated player?

What kind of phone is it?

I try not to use findroid because it dosent allow me to change the video quality settings, so I wouldnt know. But on the offical app, I am using the intergrated player. It also happened on the Jellyfin app for Linux as well which is strange.

I only have the info from the one FFMPEG log, but are all of your videos chunky 75Mbps 4K HDR movies?

All of them are 4k, yes.

I'm wondering if there is a network performance issue or possible that some of your devices just can't decode that high of a bitrate. Bit rate matters, even if the device supports decoding the codec.

Do all of your videos have this issue or just the Clue?

It has happened on Clue (4k movie, while on phone), Puss in boots (4k movie, while on phone), and Star trek: TNG (1080p show, while on host computer).

I'd love to see a video of when this happens. But, if I'm interrupting this right, it doesn't happen consistently. I'm also assuming that it doesn't happen in the same place in a video. As in you couldn't repeat it in a controlled way.

However, it does look like that all your video playbacks are transcoded. Are you manually selecting a lower bit rate or something? The video bit rate being set is all over the place. Sometimes pretty low.
