    Hello!

I just recently installed Jellyfin using Windows installer so I can watch stuff on my Google TV while my PC was on. I installed a few plugins recently and from what I understood the intro-skipper is now built into Jellyfin, which is something that recently happened.

I'm new at the whole multimedia server stuff, and it is frustrating, as I can't at all figure out how to make the skip-intro function work on my PC or on my Google TV.

I have tried changing the Media Segment Settings with and without the intro-skipper plugin.

I have tried using media files that have chapters written into them, Jellyfin player would detect the chapters, on the TV I could press the chapters button and select the chapters I want, and on Firefox (PC) I can use page-up or down on the keyboard to jump through them, but still no skip-intro or outro buttons appearing to make the process easier, also the file HAS to have the chapters written into it and Jellyfin doesn't identify chapters on its own for all other files.

I have spent hours trying to figure it out by myself and with every reasoning and online-search AI out there, as well as dig into the forums and look on YouTube, but I just couldn't find a solution to get the "Skip intro" button show up.

For all I know it could be one small setting to change that I don't know about because I'm a noob, or it could be too complicated for me to understand, either way it's frustrating not having a basic function like skip-intro on both PC and on Google TV.

    Thanks in advance!

Using Jellyfin on Windows through Windows Installer
Using Firefox with multiple plugins (including adblockers) to watch on PC

    Jellyfin version 10.10.5
    ffmpeg version 7.0.2

It looks like you don't have either plugin installed.

Install either the official Chapter Segments Provider or Intro Skipper. Plugins are installed from the catalog. After installation, run a scan so the plugin can identify the segments (Intro, Outro, etc.). The clients should automatically detect them afterward.

Thanks for your help, I did install Chapter Segments Provider and initially it didn't work, but then I also installed Intro Skipper and having both plugins seems to work on both PC and Google TV.
