Library for Conference Media

Over the years, I have collected a huge library of conference presentations. Is anyone using Jellyfin for this purpose? How would I setup a library for this? The Show Library schema is pretty close, maybe that would work?

If your conference presentations are videos you can, technically, make this work. But a lot of the quality of life features of Jellyfin will need to be disabled for this use case. When you create your library, uncheck every metadata provider since none of them will have anything for your media.

Yes, they are all videos. How complex would it be to add another library type with a new metadata schema? Can that be done with a plugin or is that a feature request?

I am sorry but plugin provided Library types are currently due to technical reasons not supported.
Also adding a new Lib type is not that easy but you are free to get the source code for the server on github and add them yourself.

Thanks for the feedback! I will simply use a show-type library and try to fit the metadata as best as possible.
