Can't seem to find a solution to this problem on Google or this forum. I installed Jellyfin today for the first time on my Windows 10 machine using the latest installer (jellyfin_10.8.13_windows-x64.exe). Install was easy. Got into the setup app, that went easy. I do remember an early screen about username and password. I didn't enter anything, which I thought would allow access to jellyfin without credentials. Then I went to use it for the first time and it is asking me for a username and password...and I don't know what to enter. I've tried my computer name, I've tried my default username, I've tried the Quick Connect feature, none of that works. I uninstalled and re-installed jellyfin expecting that would take me back to the beginning of the setup. No luck. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks,

you will need to delete jellyfin's data and start again

according to the doc it is in %localappdata% which should translate to C:\ProgramData; https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/installation/windows

Thanks. I looked tonight in %localappdata% and there is no Jellyfin folder anywhere in there. Looks like the uninstall is successfully removing the jellyfin data. Any other ideas?

What about in C:\ProgramData\Jellyfin? If that folder is present, blow it away.

    That's also already gone.

Do I need to manually clear Jellyfin our of the registry?

The registry does not contain any settings.

Also try clearing your browser cache. Jellyfin-web caches pretty aggressively.

Clearing the cache did the trick. Thanks.
