    Hello.

New to Jellyfin and a bit of a loss. I can't find anything on this subject anywhere - it's probably hidden behind lingo barrier, or something.

    I have four questions:

    - Jellyfin latest Windows server
    - Jellyfin Android client (Smart TV)

    1. How to force a mp4 video to be played on client in LOOP? I can't find such an option anywhere.
    2. I can launch a image slideshow from the Android client, but when I try to launch it from the server, and cast to the very same ANdroid client, it says "THIS OBJECT CAN'T BE PLAYED". Why?
    LOGS say:
Jellyfin.Server.Middleware.ExceptionMiddleware: Error processing request. URL "POST" "/Items/541f35ff-9522-3d05-09a3-e0dcfccde653/PlaybackInfo".
System.InvalidCastException: Unable to cast object of type 'MediaBrowser.Controller.Entities.Photo' to type 'MediaBrowser.Controller.Entities.IHasMediaSources'

But I don't know what it means...

    3. Is there a way to set longer delay between images in slideshow?
    4. How to play an image slideshow in LOOPed mode? I can't find it either.

Thank you, and sorry if it's a common knowledge, but I really couldn't find anything useful on these things anywhere...

Ok, I've found that #1 can be answered by installing an additional media player (MX Pro in my case) on the Android client, selecting it as the default one and selecting "play continouosly" in its settings.

I assume that #3 and #4 may be solced with similar method.

This leaves me with the problem #2. Anyone has any idea?

I've never used Jellyfin for pictures, but I don't recall seeing anything like what you are asking.

Go ahead and submit a feature request.

    https://features.jellyfin.org/
    Jellyfin 10.10.7 (Docker)
    Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS w/HWE
    Intel i3 12100
    Intel Arc A380
    OS drive - SK Hynix P41 1TB
    Storage
4x WD Red Pro 6TB CMR in RAIDZ1
