    Hi there,

I'm a linux- noob and installed jellyfin as flatpak to my linux mint cinnamon desktop.
As autostart is not working with the flatpak version (or I just can't get it to work- is there a way?), I'd like to install the regular linux version of jellyfin.
How do I do that and is there a way to keep my settings of jellyfin?

    Regards- schnuff

Maybe not the answer you asked for but after several small problems I found the easiest was to uninstall, reinstall, reconfigure my settings, and let the metadata repopulate. Just need to be a bit patient for the metadata.

    Google: force jellyfin reinstall

    Hi Alan,

thank you for your answer. Smiling-face
Did you just uninstall the flatpak version from the cinnamon aplication manager and reinstall the regular version from the jellyfin website without getting in trouble, or did you take some extra care to purge the flatpak installation?

    Regards-
