Hi,
New JellyFin user and first time poster (be gentle).
I have 2 issues with my current setup and one has led me to the other.
First issue:
I had a 2 drive failure on my Synology NAS, however in a very middle-class turn of events I have a spare Synology NAS I have been meaning to setup and this brought JellyFin to my attention. As my current library is in a RO state I am desperately trying to copy my some 20TB Movie/TV estate to new NAS - this is in hand but just a bit of background.
Second Issue (what I need advice on):
With my new NAS I setup a new volume, then added a "Video" folder to that volume and have all my movies in that "Video" folder. I did this as I was rushing a bit so I get everything off my old NAS which I need to rebuild.
However, I am now thinking I need to add my TV series to this and think I should have made a movie folder i.e. - volume1/video/movies - and then a tv folder - volume1/video/tv - Is this a correct assumption?
If this is how I should have done it - if I was to create a new folder for the Movies and move them to this would I have to rebuild all my movie and movie collections again?
Thanks in Advance
Col
PS - I should also say I have been searching this forum for this question but did not find it (that is not to say it does not exist - just I never found what I was looking for)
