Probably many of the people here are not classical lovers, but without being able to sort music via the "composer" field, it is simply not possible to look through the classical music catalog.

Because most of the time the number of "artists" are so great and diverse it usually ended up as "various artists" for most classical music album listings.

Among Jellyfin, Plex and Emby, only Emby has finally implemented the composer field and it is really well done there.

I really do not want to use Roon, so I am running Emby exclusively for my music streaming, but I'd like to see the composer field implemented.

I use Jellyfin primarily for music and agree about the importance of being able to sort by composer. That would be a significant improvement to an otherwise excellent music media server.
