After updating on Android TV, I can’t choose which player will play the video.

If you're referring to libVLC, that was removed due to security issues months ago.
As of now, there's been no plans to bring it back due to some number of reasons.

I'd guess that I'm not the only one, but 10.10.5 doesn't play nice with JFMP 1.11.1 in that search won't allow one to see a list of artist music, suggestion list click causes it to disappear. Basically the only function is the 3 dot to get back to the JFMP main playlist screen.
Yes, I do realize that these are 2 different projects.

JMP uses the Jellyfin WebUI, so you shouldn't notice any difference in search functionality compared to using a web browser. If you're experiencing issues, deleting the cache folder typically resolves them.

which cache, the browser or is there one for JMP?  And if there is, where might I find the JMP cache?

k, found cache for JMP which or both folders?

Delete the whole JMP folder that contains both directories JMP will rebuild it. In Linux it located at /home/username/.cache/Jellyfin Media Player. Mac might be different, but you found it.
