    regards !

Straightforward update for me. The library scan didn't take too long either, though I had everything backed up to NFO and images saved in the folders. Thanks for the update Anons.
I complain about Jellyfin a lot and have no idea what I'm doing.

UPDATE: Guess I spoke too soon, library scans seem to be taking forever and I'm not sure why. They get hung up at 22% or so when before updating it was pretty instant after the first scan.

Also I am having an issue with items not updating instantaneously like on the old server. For example, changing a movies thumbnail would normally be instant on all devices but now it gets hung up and I have to scan the entire library for the update to take effect. It also does this for changing metadata or deleting movies. Any change is not working right across clients. I checked the library settings for the "check for changes as they happen option" and none of that has changed. I'm not sure.

I also have this problem. Library updates are not as fast and reliable as they were on the previous release. I am frequently having to manually force an update of metadata especially when adding music.

There is a massive performance hit whenever library scanning activity happens as well. And my system is on high end hardware.

Lots of people having problems with collections, I had to go back to 10.10.07 as my collections whould not load, surly when this was at RC stage someone whould have picked up on this bug as it only took a few hours after releasing the new update for people to pick up on this bug

Sorry, but this version is worse than version 10.10.7. It has extremely poor performance. Page views while Jellyfin is scanning new films in the background are abysmal. It sometimes takes forever for the page to load before I can see the covers on the main page. Or sometimes when I'm working in the admin menu. Jellyfin used to perform much better on my AMD system.

Unraid / linuxserver 10.11.0 update experience
    30TB/4k movies/700 shows
    i9 with 64GB DDR5

I was excited for the TV Shows collections feature, and attempted to update from 10.10.7 to 10.11.0 using Unraid Docker with linuxserver/jellyfin:latest, but it made a huge mess out of my libraries and collections so I had to roll back. The initial update took only a few minutes but then a full library scan took hours to run and for my anime content to reappear, as a mess.

"Movies" and "TV Shows" library: Seemed okay right away, minus collections no longer working.

Collections: 10.11.0 no longer displayed all my manually created collections in "Movies" library. Made sure 'group movies and tv shows into collections' were enabled in display settings, rescanned all libraries and individual libraries and restarted. Everything was shown in "Collections" library but only 3 shown out of 50+ in "Movies". The new feature of Collections in "TV Shows" library appeared to work with newly created collections but only after rescanning again and restarting.

"Mixed movies and shows" library: my Anime library worked perfectly in 10.10.7 to display all anime shows and series in one place, with collections working for movies. In 10.11.0 at first all content here was gone, then after a full library scan and then scan library for new metadata, content was back but was a huge mess (displayed titles were not correct, hundreds of movies called Movie for example, posters missing, collections all gone). Metadata is already saved in all folders as .nfo and .jpg from Arr stack so I'm not sure why 10.11.0 was not reading and displaying from it. 10.10.7 catches it all quickly.

Also noticed overall slow loading performance as others have mentioned. Will probably try creating a new Jellyfin 10.11 instance from scratch at some point, but recreating my setup and collections will take a long time. For now back and fully working on 10.10.7

Still thankful for the team efforts, hoping things get ironed out in future releases!

Hi Guys, just passing along observations since upgrading to the latest and greatest version via Windows...

    1. Cannot get the "Edit Images" screen to load under Administration \ Library page. It will work after doing a library scan but only once. The workaround here is to set an image using the Home page while logged in as admin.

    2. The "Other" library type is no longer available.

2a. I need to figure out which library type to use for .strm files which are URLs to internet radio feeds. v10.11.0 is having issues playing these however NextPVR is able to play them.

    3. Performing any scans on a Photos library crashes randomly at different places. Used Process Monitor to get an idea of where it is crashing (assuming it was an corrupted image, etc.). See "Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\Jellyfin\Server\coreclr.dll".

3a. Photos library very slow to load.

    4. Log file entries appear to be limited or delayed, thus not being written before a crash.

Problems above can be reproduced on a fresh installation (program directories deleted, registry keys deleted, both User Profile & Windows temp directories cleared, and system rebooted prior to reinstall). I also used the default install directories.
