    UPDATE:

10.11.1 Music library importing/meta refresh adds a 'date added' tag to any album that doesn't have one and sets it to "01/01/1901". This breaks any sorting by 'date added' which is supposed to fall back onto file creation date as per settings.

This is confirmed by others on Github.

Thank you for all the hard work. Really amazing changes and a bright future for Jellyfin.

I tried updating but ran into some errors that seem to already have been reported on github, so I have rolled back and will patiently wait for fixes.

Again, thank you so much for this wonderful software and all the hard work all the developers have put into this.

10.11.0 > 10.11.1 upgrade (on Debian Linux VM) has fixed a DLNA plugin problem. Previously no browsing of the mounted media filesystem - it's now working.

Is there anyone who can help me?
Ever since I performed the update, the server has no longer been able to complete a full library scan — the last successful one was 10 days ago.
When I try to scan, it starts progressing, but then it reaches around 16–17% and boom — the server shuts down. I then have to go back into my virtual machine and restart the server.
This latest update has made life impossible for people like me who have a remote server and many terabytes of cloud content. It’s become a brick (even though streaming the content scanned before the update still works fine).
There’s nothing useful in the LOG.

It only shows this, and then JellyFin dies:

    Code:
    [2025-10-30 18:59:13.994 +01:00] [INF] [37] Emby.Server.Implementations.Session.SessionWebSocketListener: Sending ForceKeepAlive message to 1 inactive WebSockets.
    [2025-10-30 19:00:01.990 +01:00] [INF] [37] Emby.Server.Implementations.Session.SessionWebSocketListener: Sending ForceKeepAlive message to 1 inactive WebSockets.
    [2025-10-30 19:03:02.001 +01:00] [INF] [31] Emby.Server.Implementations.Session.SessionWebSocketListener: Sending ForceKeepAlive message to 1 inactive WebSockets.

    Can anyone help me?
Is there a definitive solution to all these problems?

Same as me, just won’t complete a scan without the server closing. The only thing really at the moment is to use your backup and go back to 10.10.7 which works without issue. I’ve had to do that after 10.11 and 10.11.1

I hope at some point it’ll work properly, I’ll try again when 10.11.2 is out.

    Linux Mint 22.2 on Threadripper 3990X w/ 256GB RAM
mergerfs w/ ext4 as the underlying filesystem

To prevent 'Database is locked' errors after upgrading, I followed the advice of the Troubleshooting page.  Restricting the parallel scan task limit to half of my cores did not fix it.  Setting locking mode to optimistic did.  I'm currently operational, and have not tried removing the parallel scan task limit.

I had a number of issues with the music library.  It seemed that no matter what I tried, Jellyfin for Kodi would hang during the music import after the initial artist scan, so I had to remove the source on the server, add the Music library while it was empty in Jellyfin for Kodi, and then re-add the music source on the server.  The import process is much slower than in previous versions.  If anyone knows how to easily reset the date added fields to the file creation date, please let me know.

If my primary Jellyfin for Kodi instance continues to work well enough once it finishes syncing, I'm probably just going to leave things as is since I also spent an enormous amount of time fixing metadata after the upgrade.  Hopefully we'll get some fixes soon.
