    Hello!
I have a fire tv stick from Amazon but on certain movies/series it just fails to launch the content (too many tries, abord).
The stick itself is ~6 year old and seems to be less and less performant. On top of that, you have to see the Amazon ads, which is not nice.

Anyway, I think that I would like to replace it, I use it to play Spotify, watch Youtube and use it for Jellyfin.

Living in France, I can't buy the onn. device from Walmart that a lot of people recommend. I would like to know if you have some great alternative to it?

Thanks a lot, I wish you a good day all!

Edit : In regard of the errors : I tried to change the player to libVLC, and it did work for the video but the subtitles where not in sync at all, Exoplayer does not work for the same file. A Jellyfin media player can read this file by default. I have no idea what I could do to make it work on the fire tv stick...
The log says "[hls @ 000001f0ffdb4440] Opening 'MYPATH\cache\transcodes\e065010d99dba148456f01d4f35ea39233.ts' for writing on 30+ lines which does not seems correct

I like my Google Chromecast with Google TV 4K. The "HD" model is a bit newer but doesn't support HDR. I also have a Roku 4800X that I like as well. I generally don't recommend Firesticks.

If money is not an issue, the Nvidia Shield Pro, even though it is older, is still considered the best Android TV client.
