OG nvidia shield tv on a non DV compatible TV

I have a few dolby vision files- im not looking to re-encode them but im trying to auto transcode them. Im currently running a 1660TI but i have a 4070TI Super waiting to be installed but idk it would make a difference for this.  Everytime i watch or attempt to watch dolby vision on that TV it eitehr doesnt display or it green colors. Anyway to tell the client (OG Nvidia Shield TV) to transcode Dolby Vision?

Setting the audio to stereo in the Jellyfin Android TV client under Preferences -> Playback -> Audio Output will trigger a transcode.
